Oops

Gee...we are really bad at updating this.

In March we were thrilled to find the newest addition to our family

DAISY!!

The photo above is the first time we saw her. David was checking the BCSPCA listings and found this little angel. We both IMMEDIATELY fell in love and were at the SPCA first thing the next day. We had already made up our minds before we got there...and she didn't make it very hard.

All set for next season!

So it's been a couple months and we're in the middle of dog training to help her stay a little calmer and to get along with other dogs better. It's going very well. She was a bit a of a crazy when we got her. Her old owners clearly let her do whatever she wanted and she had no boundaries or understanding about the order of who was alpha. She knows now! She's just an angel who LOVES to cuddle up on your lap. We are so happy that we found her and that she's likes us too!

Time flies!

Wow! It's been a while!

We're moving! We found a place with amazing space in a different area of Vancouver... a little more quiet and really exciting. With still quick access to the downtown area. We're so excited to move!!! A 2 bedroom place with space! It's our dream!!

Yesterday we went snowshoeing for the first time!!

The amazing view from Grouse Mountain

We headed straight to MEC right after to purchase our own pairs!! That's how enjoyable it was! Sadly we will be pretty busy with the move for the next couple weeks...but as soon as we are settled in we're heading right back up! We really hope the snow lasts a while longer

Earlier in the month we had the chance to go see the (untraded) Senators play in Vancouver!

Ran into some of the staff from our old bar in Victoria
The Garrick's Head

Spezza was back :D

They lost, but it was still a lot of fun! David was so excited to go! I was excited also, but I also see hockey games every week....so it was nice to see a game sitting in a seat and not having to work!

We will try to keep this more updated with news...we have some really exciting news coming in the next few months!! Hopefully we'll have great photos of the new place soon!! To tide you over check out our Shutterfly share site to see all our photos! Also, Shawna updates her blog regularly, so be sure to check that out!

Me Oh My

FIVE weeks to go!

It's been quite a while since there has been an update! So here we go!

Wedding planning is going spectacularly.....actually it's been done for months...now it's a lot of little things...which is good because that helps to pass the time! I'm sure you can imagine the days are DRAGGING on....but the date will be here soon enough!

We booked our honeymoon!! Which we are so excited for! A week at a five-star resort in the Mayan Riveria! Cannot. WAIT. It's possibly going to be better than the wedding!! I kid...

In other non-wedding news. David got his contract extended at the Aquarium!! Which is FANTASTIC!!! Since he loves it SO much. So we're both thrilled that he gets to continue on!

A shot of the man hard at work

Shawna is still plugging away at the world of TV. Which is awesome because that's what she wants to do! Or be a court reporter....but that is the only other option...or a marine mammal trainer...She would rock at that.

Otherwise, life is lovely in this town we call home. It's been a short but beautiful summer. We found time to sneak up to Kelowna to visit a friend of ours. We went on a wine tour and visited the ancient O'Keefe Ranch...which was AMAZING. This whole ranch was basically a small town from the 1800's when cattle farming was huge. And it was all preserved and is an amazing historic site that you should visit if you get the chance.

We are really looking forward to seeing our families in October! It's the last scheduled time we'll see them, so it will be awesome to have them join us on the west coast for a PARTY!

Not sure if this will get updated pre-wedding....since I don't expect there to be much news other than wedding updates! So on that note....See you when we're Mr. and Mrs. Perry!!!

Love,

Us

Looking great!!

Hello Hello!!!

A quick update!

Things for us right now could not be more amazing! The wedding planning is sooooo easy...it's all done! Just waiting for RSVPs now!

Shawna (me) left my job at the Canucks Team store....not enough pay vs schedule vs no hockey = get me outta there! It's ok though. I've been working at Global a lot lately, and might even be heading back over to Victoria to work at Chek for a bit!

David is also leaving his job at the Arts Club Theatre fooooooooooooooooooor

The Vancouver Aquarium!!!!

He will actually BE the host of the dolphin show!!! How AMAZING is that! The first time we went to the aquarium he commented on how he could be the host when we watched the show...and now he IS!!!!

SO AWESOME! He's so excited and I can't wait to go see him!!!

Hopefully it's a very exciting summer!!

Sponsor Child

We would like to introduce our new sponsor child! With CCF of Canada we've sponsored Haymanot from Ethiopia! This is something I've wanted to do for so long, and something David did while he was in high school, but didn't have the means during university! I'm really excited to be doing something more than just locally, and helping a little person live a better life! If you can spare $35 a month to help someone who has maybe 1% if what we have. I really encourage you to do it.
